Actor Song Joong-ki was discharged from the Army on Tuesday after completing his 21 months of mandatory military service.

Many fans from home and abroad gathered at an army base in Gangwon Province to greet him.
He thanked them, saying their support helped a lot during his service.
Now, he will prepare for the filming of "Descendants of the Sun", a melodrama that captures the lives of young soldiers and doctors who carry out disaster relief missions overseas.
