Even after getting married and becoming a father, Song Joong-ki showcased his status as the 'rom-com king' through JTBC's "MY YOUTH". Now, just two months after the drama wrapped, he has swiftly confirmed his next project, signaling continued active promotions.

The upcoming drama "Love Cloud" is a romance about Kang Woo-joo, a former flight instructor, and Ahn Ha-ni, a trainee pilot. Seven years after parting ways, the two reunite on Jeju Island, where love is said to be as unpredictable as the weather. As an air traffic controller and a pilot, they rekindle old emotions. The series will be directed by Song Min-yeob of KBS2's "Youth of May" (2021) and "High Cookie" (2023), with rookie writer team Mad Rabbit penning the script.

Song Joong-ki will take on the lead role of Kang Woo-joo, a former flight instructor who is now an air traffic controller. Although "Love Cloud" is also categorized as a rom-com/romance like his previous work "MY YOUTH", the atmosphere and character are said to be completely different. Expectations are high for the fresh style of rom-com the project will bring, as well as how Song will portray roles he has never tackled before-flight instructor and air traffic controller.

"Love Cloud" is currently casting its female lead along with supporting roles, with filming slated to begin in the first half of next year. Broadcast channel discussions are also underway.

Song Joong-ki made his debut in the 2008 film "A Frozen Flower" and has since starred in hit dramas such as "Sungkyunkwan Scandal", "Deep-rooted Tree", "Nice Guy", "Descendants of the Sun", "Arthdal Chronicles", "Vincenzo", "Reborn Rich", and "MY YOUTH". His film credits include "A Werewolf Boy", "The Battleship Island", "Space Sweepers", "Hopeless", "My Name Is Loh Kiwan", and "Bogota: City of the Lost". This year, he held fan meetings in both Korea and Japan, continuing to demonstrate his steady global popularity.
