On the sixteenth episode of the KBS 2TV drama "Bridal Mask" on the 19th, Lee Kang-to (Joo Won) confessed his love to Oh Mok-dan (Jin Se-yeon) as Kimura Shunji (Park Ki-woong) started to suspect him of his identity.

Lee avoided the risky situation by confessing his love for Oh. He wanted to show that he met her because he wanted to save her and not because he was the Bridal Mask. Shunji angered at the confession and arrested the two of them.

Shunji didn't believe Lee but Lee convinced him, "I knew I shouldn't do this because she's Dam Sa-ri's (Jeon No-min) daughter and my friend's woman but I couldn't help it. I was afraid I would corner her and do the same to you so I had to go there". Shunji fell for this lie out of jealousy.

Lee also avoided not having recognized Dam Sa-ri disguised as Choi Tae-gon and knowing Mok-dan's childhood name. he said, "I didn't know Dam Sa-ri who was a slave was in knowing terms with Count Lee Si-yong. I am the one who went around catching the man. You think I wouldn't know a thing like his daughter's childhood name?"

Shunji stopped suspecting Lee but started was aware of him as a love rival. At the end of the episode, Lee was caught by Shunji trying to help Mok-dam Sa-ri escape and foresaw another risk.
