"My Love, Butterfly Lady" showed Kim Jeong-wook (Kim Sung-soo) who faked his death to change his identity to Jeff Kang finally revealing himself.
Kim Jeong-wook had left home and changed his identity for revenge but was weakened when his mother Lee Jeong-ae (Kim Young-ae) called. She knew her son was alive and called him saying, "Honey it's mom" as she cried on the phone.
In the end, he decided he couldn't hurt his family anymore and headed to his family's restaurant. It was the moment he stood in front of his family for the first time in 17 years. They all cried as if they didn't believe it and Jeong-wook also cried in front of them.
However, mother Yeong-ae ignored him. The only reason was Nam Na-bi (Yum Jung-ah). She said, "What do we do about Na-bi? Everyone here knows how she was towards Kim Jeong-wook. Who will she call mother-in-law instead? I had a son but he died a few months ago". He had even shown up with his new fiancé.
Lee Jeong-ae hit her heart at the voice of her son for Nam Na-bi who also tried killing herself when she heard about her husband's death and had only waited for him.
Meanwhile, Nam Na-bi finally faced the husband she thought was dead.
