On the fourteenth episode of the MBC drama "The Night Watchman's Journal", Lee Rin (Jung Il-woo) found out the truth behind the death of his mother, Queen Min (Song Yi-woo).

Lee Rin found a blood letter his mother left before she died. It said that Park Soo-jong (Lee Jae-yong-I) had killed her. Lee Rin was furious as he had known all this while it was Hye-jong (Choi Won-young) who had killed her.

The blood letter was written by Min on a ripped piece of her skirt, right after she was stabbed by Park Soo-jong's men. The letter said, "I would touch your cheek if I could. I wonder how nice it would be to feel your heat. If I knew I would be going without seeing you, I would've taken another good look at you. Rin, you have to be safe. Don't get hurt. I am watching you. Don't stay near Soo-jong. He is the one who killed me. He's going to hurt you, too".

Lee Rin cried over the letter and went to Park Soo-jong's house. Moo-seok (U-Know) tried to stop him but Rin's anger overpowered him.
