On the twelfth episode of the KBS 2TV drama "Tomorrow's Cantabile", Nae-il overcame her trauma thanks to Cha Yoo-jin (Joo Won).
Nae-il found out about Yoo-jin's airplane crash trauma and decided to join the competition with him. Do Kang-jae (Lee Byung-joon) changed his stiff way of teaching and helped Nae-il prepare for the competition.
Nae-il chose Haydn as her music piece. Kang-jae worried there wasn't enough time and worried about Nae-il who played the piano as she felt it and not according to the music sheets. Kang-jae told Yoo-jin, "I feel like I'm restraining Nae-il in a box".
He continued, "I don't know about the finals but they won't accept her in the qualification round. I wonder if I discovered her too late". Yoo-jin, who knew Seol Nae-il better, personally recorded a song that was exactly what the judges liked and was in line with the competition, then presented it to Nae-il.
He then told her, "Keep inside the lines just this once. Play however you like it when the world knows you". He then presented her with a dress and helped Nae-il gain her confidence.
Nae-il went on stage nervously, but then she looked at Yoo-jin and regained her confidence again as a pianist.
Meanwhile, "Tomorrow's Cantabile" is based on the original Japanese comic "Nodame Cantabile" about young people who have a burning passion or classical music.
