Actress Lee Joo-sil, who starred in the Netflix series "Squid Game - Season 2", passed away at 81.

According to the agency, the deceased died on the 2nd after being diagnosed with gastric cancer in November last year.
Debuting as a theater actor in 1965, the deceased performed on about 200 theatrical stages.
Then, in 1993, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and was told by the doctor at the time that she had only one year to live, but she was cured after 10 years through chemotherapy.
Since then, the deceased has also appeared in films such as "The Admiral: Roaring Currents" and "Train to Busan", dramas "It's Beautiful Now", and "The Uncanny Counter"
Recently, she starred as the mother of Detective Hwang Joon-ho (Wi Ha-jun) in "Squid Game - Season 2" and played the mother of Park S o-yoon (Han Hyo-joo) in the American drama "Treadstone".
