Synopsis: Yoon-soo was a student at one of the best schools in Seoul, who carries unbearable burden of leading one of his friends to commit suicide after his trivial remark turned into a vicious rumor. His father moves his family to Ijeon-li, a rural village, for him. On the day of the move, Yoon-soo sees a mysterious young girl skating by herself on the frozen lake. Having started school in this countryside village, Yoon-soo slowly finds peace within. With the villagers' kindness and his peers' ongoing fascination with him, he regains innocence that he had once lost. But over time, he notices that everyone in his class, including the teacher, alienate a girl named Hae-won. Endless scandals surrounding her are the sole reason for her alienation. Yoon-soo approaches her with sympathy and warmth, and Hae-won develops feelings for him because he seems to be the only one who understands and accepts her. It feels as though she's looking through his pain with her pure eyes, and they spend a memorable night together.
