Among Studio Dragon's works in the first quarter of this year, tvN and TVING co-planned "The Queen Who Crowns", tvN's "My Dearest Nemesis" and the TVING original "Study Group" showed positive results. Nevertheless, the total number of episodes including TV and OTT fell by about 16.9% year-on-year, and the absence of simultaneous global online video service (OTT) films, except "When the Stars Gossip", had a major impact on the year-on-year decline in performance. The number of simultaneous global OTT episodes decreased by about 70% year-on-year. Analysts say that the base effect of global hits such as "Queen of Tears" and "Marry My Husband" in the same period last year was due to the base effect.

In the first quarter, many works received good reviews in terms of work and box office performance. "The Queen Who Crowns" which was introduced as a tvN Monday-Tuesday drama with the start of 2025, ranked first in viewership at the same time, including cable and general episodes, throughout the entire airing period, as the main actor's passionate performance became a hot topic. "My Dearest Nemesis", the follow-up drama, drew attention as it topped the list for four consecutive weeks in 109 countries around the world based on the OTT platform Rakuten Viki. "Study Group", which was introduced as a TVING original, topped the list of paid female TVING members for five consecutive weeks, with its novel material and colorful action scenes of new actors drawing attention.

In the second quarter, tvN's romance drama "Second Shot at Love", starring Choi Soo-young and Gong Myung, Netflix's mystery melodrama period drama "Dear Hongrang", tvN's romantic growth drama "Our Unwritten Seoul" starring Park Bo-young and Park Jinyoung, and Amazon Prime Video's Japanese version of "Marry My Husband" (original title: 私の夫と結婚して) will be released, starting with the first Japanese drama planned and produced by Studio Dragon.

"This year, more than 60% of the total number of lineups, including TVs and OTT, are concentrated in the second half of the year, which is expected to lead to a high and low trend in performance", a Studio Dragon official said. "We plan to minimize the impact of reducing TV lineups by supplying OTT originals in the second quarter, and strengthen growth momentum by resuming TV drama blocks on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the second half of the year and expanding local Japanese works".
