"The King and the Clown" Wins Award in French Movie Festival

As yet more proof of the Korean film industry's growing presence in the international arena, the domestic blockbuster "The King and the Clown" by director Lee Joon-ik has won an award at the 9th Deauville Asian Film Festival in France.
The movie, depicting the relationship between two male clowns during the Joseon Dynasty, received a thumbs-up from the judges at the French film gala this past weekend.
Also Director Lee Yoon-ki's "Ad-Lib Night" won the movie critics' award.
Since its launch in 1999, the Deauville festival has become one of the biggest Asian film festivals in Europe.
