An official from the production company SLL told NewsN on September 1st that "there has been no specific discussion about the production of "Doctor Cha - Season 2"".
"Doctor Cha" which ended in 2023, is a drama about a torn life suture of Cha Jung-sook (Uhm Jung-hwa), who becomes a first-year resident from being a twenty-year housewife. It ended with 18.546% viewership of Nielsen Korea's nationwide paid broadcasting households.
The first season of "Doctor Cha" ended with the growth of Cha Jung-sook, who discovered true happiness at this moment in her life. Cha Jung-sook became a family medicine specialist after divorcing Seo In-ho (Kim Byung-chul) and ran 'Doctor Cha Jung-sook'.
Seo In-ho became the youngest hospital director at Gusan University Hospital, while Choi Seung-hee (Myung Se-bin) took over the nursing hospital. Roy Kim (Min Woo-hyuk), who liked Cha Jung-sook, found new love.
