According to YTN Star on July 13th, Hong Hwa-yeon has received an offer to play the female lead in the upcoming drama "Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea" and is currently reviewing the proposal.
The fantasy romantic comedy follows the events that unfold at the "Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea", an organization responsible for managing monsters living in South Korea.
If she accepts the role, Hong Hwa-yeon will star opposite Lee Junho, whose casting was previously reported. Both actors have earned praise for their consistently strong performances and ability to bring diverse characters to life, raising anticipation for the chemistry they will showcase in this unique fantasy setting.
Hong Hwa-yeon made her acting debut in 2022 and gained widespread recognition through the drama "Buried Hearts". Her performance earned her the Best New Actress award at the 2025 SBS Drama Awards, establishing her as one of the industry's rising stars.
