Actress Shin Ye-eun is considering a role in the new drama "High School Queen". On February 26, her agency NPio Entertainment, told Newsen, "She has received an offer to appear in the new drama 'High School Queen" and is reviewing it".

Studio Dragon recently announced that it signed a planning and development agreement with webtoon production company Jaedam Media to adapt the popular webtoon "High School Queen" (written by Kritty, illustrated by Nehae) into a drama. The project is currently in development as a full-length series.

The webtoon, serialized on Naver Webtoon, tells the story of Kim Cheong-ha, the queen of Joseon and the greatest swordswoman of her time, who is reincarnated as modern-day high school student Park Da-jin. Using Joseon-era martial arts, she punishes school bullies, delivering a satisfying sense of catharsis.

While preserving the original webtoon's refreshing action, the drama adaptation will also strengthen its romance elements, moving between the Joseon past and the present.

Shin Ye-eun has been offered the lead role of Park Da-jin and is carefully reviewing the proposal. Having continuously transformed her image with each project, attention is focused on whether she will take on exhilarating action and create another career-defining role.

Meanwhile, Shin Ye-eun is also preparing for the release of the Genie TV and ENA drama "Doctor on the Edge" (written by Kim Ji-soo-VII, directed by Lee Myeong-woo). The medical isolation romantic comedy follows public health doctor Do Ji-eui (Lee Jae-wook), who arrives on the notorious island of Pyeondong-do, and the secretive nurse Yook Ha-ri (Shin Ye-eun). The series is based on the popular webtoon "Dr. Grit" by Kim Tae-pung, currently serialized on KakaoPage and Kakao Webtoon.
