"Heo's Diner" is a fantasy romance that takes place 400 years later when Heo Gyoon (Xiumin), a problematic character from the Joseon Dynasty, moves to the modern world to open a restaurant. It is based on a web novel with the same title by Jeon Seon-yeong. Heo Gyoon is a person who has skills in writing and a sense of aesthetics. He knows well about his intelligence and lives with questions like a child. He is sent into exile by those who criticize him, and seven of his friends run away at the news that he has sinned against him. At the risk of his death, he goes to the country of Yuldo.

Exy (Choo So-jeong) plays Eun-sil, the daughter of a Korean traditional restaurant with no sign. She is a realist. She thinks that selling Korean traditional food like her mother is just a waste of money. She gets angry and can't stand injustice. She considers Heo Gyoon, who appears one day in front of her parents' restaurant, a nuisance.

Lee Sae-on and Lee Soo-min move back and forth between the past and the present. Lee Sae-on will serve as goal-oriented Lee Yi-cheom and the youngest Korean food master from a global culinary school, Lee Hyeok. Lee Soo-min plays the role of entertainer Mae-chang and CF star Jeong Mi-sol.
