Yeo Woon-kye's 15th Death Anniversary

It's been fifteen years since actress Yeo Woon-kye has left us.

She passed away at the age of 69 on the 22nd of May in 2009 from lung cancer.

She was known to have recovered from kidney cancer in 2007 but the cancer cells carried onto her lungs.

Yeo Woon-kye did her best until her very last. She last starred in the SBS drama "King and I" and the KBS 2TV drama "Golden Era of Daughter in Law" before she retired due to liver cancer.

She returned to "Golden Era of Daughter in Law" three months after her recovery but she had to step down from "Love and Obsession" in April of 2009.

Meanwhile, Yeo Woon-kye has been in theater for the longest time and debuted as a TV actress in 1962 and starred in "Dae Jang Geum", "War of Money", "My Lovely Sam Soon", "Seoul Moon" and more.
