Yoo Jae-suk and Kim Yong-man Cancel Exclusive Agency Contract

A number of celebrities including comedian Yoo Jae-suk and Kim Yong-man have notified their agency that they will terminate their exclusive agency contracts.

The legal office Joon Kyung and the law firm Han Byeol announced on October 12 that comedians including Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Yong-man, Song Eun-i, Kim Young-Chul and Kim Tae-Hyun and singer Yoon Jong Shin had delivered the notification to their agency, Storm E&F (previously called De chocolate E&TF), to inform it that they would cancel their exclusive agency contracts, and that their contracts with Storm E&F had been legally terminated.

The representative of those legal offices said that the creditors of Storm E&F had seized the money that the three broadcasting companies KBS, MBC, and SBS were required to pay to the above-mentioned entertainers, who all belong to Storm E&F, so those stars could not be paid from last June until now. More than that, the agency Storm E&F had not provided necessary operating costs on time, so those stars had to face many inconveniences up to now.

They continued to explain that stars who had an exclusive agency contract had already delivered a request to solve this inconvenient situation to Storm E&F in the beginning of August, but they had not received any explanation in response to their request, so the stars had decided to notify Storm E&F of the cancellation of their agency contract by mail in the beginning of this month.
