It was revealed in the September issue of the monthly magazine Women's Sense that Yoon Seok-hwa, a theater actress, is suffering from a brain tumor.

According to the September issue of the monthly magazine Women's Sense, Yoon Seok-hwa (67) underwent brain tumor surgery in October last year and is currently undergoing natural therapy treatment.
In an interview with the media, Yoon Seok-hwa said, "Even if you live a day, it is important to live like yourself", adding that she is discharged from the hospital and is currently living her daily life with diets such as mugwort and healthy drinks.
Yoon Seok-hwa then said, "I try to go out every day and meet good people to eat. Everyone has the right to live and die like themselves. In order to do so, we should not be trapped in a bottle", she stressed.
Yoon Seok-hwa, who debuted in 1975 and rose to stardom with the play "God's Agnes", has since been active in plays and musicals such as "The Last Princess" and "Empress Myeongseong". She won the Baeksang Arts Awards' Women's Acting Award (1984), Lee Hae-rang Theater Award (1998) and the Korea Culture and Arts Award (2009).
