Actress Youn Yuh-jung is coming back to dramas after a year away.
Youn Yuh-jung has been confirmed to star in the KBS 2TV drama "My Husband Got a Family". She is going to take on the role of Eom Cheong-ae, mother to Gwi-nam (Yu Jun-sang) and mother-in-law to Yoon-hee (Kim Nam-joo). She represents the typical Korean mother who has suffered both a cold husband and a strict mother-in-law.
A spokesperson for "My Husband Got a Family" said, "I thought of Youn Yuh-jung the moment I saw the role of Eom Cheong-ae. She should be able to relate to the viewers with a realistic portrayal".
Youn Yuh-jung acted as a grandmother with Alzheimer's and a mute son in the MBC drama "Can You Hear my Heart?" last year.
"My Husband Got a Family" is about the rollercoaster life of career woman Cha Yoon-hee and her perfect man, surgeon Bang Gwi-nam, after they get married. Yu Jun-sang and Kim Nam-joo will be taking on these roles. This drama should be broadcast right after "Ojak Brothers" in February.
