'Deceased' Jung Eun-woo... Waves of Mourning

Amid news of actor Jung Eun-woo (Birthname: Jung  Dong-jin)'s passing, his final social media post is being revisited, adding to the sense of sorrow.

According to entertainment industry sources on the 11th, Jung Eun-woo passed away that day at the age of 40.

A post he uploaded the previous day remains on his Instagram. The late actor had shared photos of celebrities who had passed away, including Leslie Cheung and Amy Winehouse, along with the caption, "Miss you, envy you, regretful..." The sudden news of his death that followed has come as a shock.

Comments such as "No, why did this happen", "May he rest in peace", and "It was a signal, but no one knew", have continued to pour in, as tributes spread online.

Jung Eun-woo made his acting debut in the 2006 KBS drama "Sharp 3". He went on to appear in films such as "My Tutor Friend Lesson II", "Love on the Debt", and "Title for Members Only", as well as dramas including "H.I.T", "The Slave Hunters", "A Man Called God", "Smile, Dong-hae", "Bride of the Sun", and "Five Fingers".

After completing his military service in 2018, he gained wider recognition for his role as Wang Yi-ryook, the younger brother of Lee Jang-woo's character (Wang Dae-ryook), in the KBS2 drama "My Only One". In 2021, he also appeared in the film "Memory: Manipulated Murder".

The funeral altar has been set up in Special Room No. 2 at New Korea Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral procession will take place at 12 p.m. on the 13th, and the burial site will be at Byeokje Crematorium.
