CHOEAEDOL announced on August 18 that MONSTA X's Shownu ranked first in its "Unified League: Best Idol Leader?" vote.

The Heart Pick invited global K-pop fans to choose the idol who best represents outstanding leadership. Voting took place through the CHOEAEDOL app and concluded on August 14.

Shownu, the leader of MONSTA X, secured the top position ahead of PLAVE's Yejun and BTS's RM.

Shownu returned to unit activities with fellow MONSTA X member Hyungwon through Shownu X Hyungwon's second EP, "Love Me", released on May 21. Led by the title track "Do You Love Me", the album marked the duo's first comeback, while Shownu has also continued performing as a member of MONSTA X on the group's 2026 world tour, "THE X : NEXUS".

A CHOEAEDOL representative said, "Fans rallied behind Shownu, whose commanding stage presence and steady leadership have long distinguished him within MONSTA X. We will continue strengthening a space where fans can connect around their Bias and freely enjoy and share photos and videos".
