'The Fake' Wins Animation Prize in Spain

Yeon Sang-ho's latest film "The Fake" has won best animated film at the Gijón International Film Festival in Spain.

The annual festival, which ended last week, has been held since 1963.

The animated feature shared the AnimaFICX Prize, the top award in the section, with America's "Cheatin'". A total of 11 provocative animated features competed this year.

The film is set in a village on the verge of being submerged and revolves around the minister who deceives the villagers and a drunk, the only person who knows the minister's true colors.
