11th PIFF to Open in Pusan Thursday

The eleventh Pusan International Film Festival (PIFF) is set to kick off late Thursday in the port city.

The festival which organizers say is the most prestigious movie festival in Asia, will open with the screening of "Trace of Love" by Kim Dae-seung.

During its nine-day run through October 20th, a total of two-hundred-45 films from 63 countries will be screened for Korean movie fans and film lovers from abroad.

A festival record of 64 films will make their world premiere, with 20 international premieres and 70 Asian premieres also scheduled.

World-renowned filmmakers and top stars including Hong Kong's Andy Lau and France's Anna Karina will attend the high-profile event.
