This movie is simply amazing and one has to watch to appreciate everything from the scenery to language to monarchism and friendship. All male leads did wonderful but Lee Jun Ki stole the show.

I believe the writer and producer wanted to make a film which is consistent with known historical facts. While the love story is an added perk I believe this is only secondary.
