Actor Choi Hyun-wook Teams up With Director Park Yoo-young

According to YTN Star on the 10th, Choi Hyun-wook has been cast as the lead in the new drama "The River Swarming With Evil". The drama is the latest project by director Park Yoo-young, who recently achieved success with "Ms. Incognito", following her work on "The Kidnapping Day".

"The River Swarming With Evil" is an occult drama that tells the love story between a shaman who only wanted to live an ordinary life and a man. Choi Hyun-wook will portray Yoo Myeong-woo, a man who has lived a life akin to hell.
Choi Hyun-wook debuted in 2019 with the web drama "Real: Time: Love" and gained recognition through appearances in "Taxi Driver", "Racket Boys", and others. In 2021, he won the Male Rookie Acting Award at the SBS Drama Awards.
He has since appeared in dramas such as "Twenty Five Twenty One", "Weak Hero Class 1", "Twinkling Watermelon", "High Cookie", and "My Dearest Nemesis", demonstrating both delicate emotional acting and intense action performance.
"The River Swarming With Evil" will be produced by AStory, known for "Kingdom" & "Kingdom - Season 2", "Extraordinary Attorney Woo", and "Big Mouth". The broadcast schedule and channel are still under discussion.
