[Aisha's Take] Kim Jung-hyun and Im Soo-hyang Give Us Butterflies in "Kokdu: Season of Deity"

Perhaps, one of the most anticipated dramas of the year, "Kokdu:Seasons Of Deity" is here! The drama tells the tale of Han Gye-jeol (Im Soo-hyan) and Kokdu (Kim Jung-hyun) who are fated to a beautiful yet tragic destination. Im Soo-hyan and Kim Jung-hyun bring foward aromantic tale that would leave butterflies tingling in your stomach.

Han Gye-jeol, is a doctor who often struggles because she graduated from a rural medical school. She lost her mother at a young age and had to grow up quickly, so to look after her younger brother. But even though, life has been harsh on her, it didn't bring her cheery side to a stop. She still dreams of a fairy tale like love-life. Little did she knew, that she was destined to fall in love with a cold deity, Kokdu. Oh and she has a strange power to order the deity around.

Kokdu on the other hand, was once a determined lover who waited for his beloved and refused to walk down the path to the hereafter. Since he disobeyed the Lord, he was punished to became a deity, Kokdu. He will take the dead souls onto the path of hereafter and when he comes to the human realm, he has to kill those who are cursed by others. With such cruel and deadly responsibilities, Kokdu becames cold hearted and lives in despair. Until, Gye-jeol comes to his life, so to free him from this agony.

Han Gye-jeol and Kokdu interactions are absolutely choatic and we love them! Gye-jeol holds a childish side to her with her innocence. Even though, she doesm't immediately believe Kokdu to actually be a diety, she plays along in hopes to actually cure him. She even enjoys how he immediately obeys despite whining- and truthfully we enjoy that too. Though, she is someone who falls in love quickly, she also tends to take things slow and protect herself from getting hurt-again.

Im Soo-hyang and Kim Jung-hyun's chemistry wins the hearts of the viewers. One cannot imagine anyone else as their characters. They take us on a ride of emotions with them. And just like that, one cannot wait to see love bloom in their hearts!
