"Our tomorrow may be dark, painful, difficult, and we might stumble or fall down. But the stars shine brightest when the night is darkest", band leader RM said.
The band shared their feelings of isolation due to the pandemic, but stressed the power of hope and vowed to continue making music.
"We live in uncertain times. If our voices can give strength to people, then that's what we want and what we'll keep on doing", band-member Jungkook said.
During the six-minute video, the boys shared stories about how they picked themselves up after feeling depressed following the pandemic, with one member describing it as something "beyond imagination".
It was the band's second time speaking at the UN General Assembly, following their speech at the launch ceremony for UNICEF's Generation Unlimited program at the 73rd General Assembly two years ago.
