Big Bang & 2NE1 In Top Tier Of Japan's Oricon Charts

YG Entertainment's most representative groups, Big Bang and 2NE1, are not only representative of Korea's top groups, but Japan's as well.

After the two acts simultaneously released new albums in Japan on March 28th, they both jumped up to hit 2nd and 4th place, respectively, on Japan's top music rankings, the Oricon Album chart.
Big Bang's new album titled has the concept of "From Asia to the world". It's similar to their domestic version of , though in Japanese, with 2 additional new tracks. The group is currently promoting in both Korea and Japan. They even have a visit to Thailand scheduled for the near future.
Also, starting on May 17-18th, Big Bang will kickstart their Alive Tour 2012 in Japan. They'll hold concerts in Yokohama, Osaka, Saitama, Fukuoka, etc. visiting a total of 5 regions expected to attract 130,000 fans.
2NE1 also fared well with their first Japanese album release. It was a compilation of their "best" songs, featuring the Japanese versions of their hits "Fire", and "I Don't Care".
Both acts will take to the stage at Japan's largest R&B/Hip Hop festival on March 31st. Also on the lineup list are internationally-recognized acts like LMFAO and David Guetta.
