Korean singer BoA has been cast in her first leading role in a Hollywood film, along with Derek Hough, who appeared in a popular TV show "Dancing with the Stars" in the U.S.
The dance movie "Make Your Move", to be directed by Duane Adler, writer of the film "Step Up", will move beyond the stereotypical plot of a dance battle and include various types of dance such as tap, hip hop and swing, with a story revolving around the love affair of the main characters.
It will be co-produced by CJ Entertainment, SM Entertainment, and Hollywood's Robert Cort, who has produced a number of hit films including "Save the Last Dance".
Filming is scheduled to start in the spring and will take place in Toronto and New York.
