BTS became the first Korean band to perform at the Grammy Awards at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Sunday.

Last year, BTS only presented an award but did not play.

RM, the leader of the band, said on the red carpet, "If we would be nominated here at the Grammys [next year], it would be the greatest goal".

BTS performed alongside rapper Lil Nas X, with whom RM has collaborated to make "Seoul Town Road", a remix of Lil Nas X's hit "Old Town Road" that topped the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for nineteen consecutive weeks, becoming the chart's longest running No. 1 song.

Ariana Grande posted a photo of herself alongside the boys tweeting, "Look who I bumped into at rehearsal".
