Elderly actor Byun Hee-bong passed away on the 18th. He was 81 years old.

According to sources, Byun Hee-bong, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was completely cured, had been battling the disease due to a recurrence of cancer and died after fighting the disease that day.
Byun Hee-bong, who made his debut as the first voice actor for DBS Dong-A Broadcasting in 1963, moved to MBC's second open recruitment voice actor in 1966 and has been an actor since 1970.
He starred in Bong Joon-ho's films "Barking Dogs Never Bite", "The Host", "Memories of Murder" and "Okja", and received the Silver Medal of Culture in 2020 for his active work in various fields of pop culture.
The mortuary is set up in Room 17 of the funeral hall of Samsung Medical Center. The send-off is the day after tomorrow (20th) at 12:30 PM, and the burial site is the Bongandang of Dalmasa Temple in Heukseok-dong, Seoul.
