Cha Mi-kyung Joins Park Seo-joon in "Itaewon Class"

Actress Cha Mi-kyung is starring in the upcoming Friday / Saturday jTBC drama "Itaewon Class".

Cha Mi-kyung has made an impression on the audience with her recent work in "KIM Jiyoung: Born 1982".

JTBC drama "Itaewon Class" is based on an original webtoon about a 'hip' revolt by stubborn and courageous youths living in this unfair world. It contains the starting of businesses of those who pursue freedom with their own values on a small street in Itaewon.

Cha Mi-kyung plays Kim Soon-rye, an old woman who picks boxes for a living in Itaewon. She nags Park Seo-joon (Park Sae-roy) every time she sees him, but she actually likes his single-mindedness. The chemistry between Cha Mi-kyung and Park Seo-joon, as well as the Danbam Family is going to be a treat.

"Itaewon Class" is Showbox's first drama, which is coming in 2020, after "Chocolate".

Cha Mi-kyung will also be appearing in the jTBC drama "Mystic Pop-Up Bar".
