MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "When the Phone Rings" first unveiled actor Chae Soo-bin's stills on October 15th.

Based on the popular web novel of the same name on the Kakao page, "When the Phone Rings" is a secret romance thriller between a show window couple in their third year of political marriage, which begins with a threatening phone call.

Chae Soo-bin plays the role of Hong Hee-joo, the wife of Baek Sa-eon (Yoo Yeon-seok) and suffers from an unexpected accident when she was young. Hee-joo, who became involved through a political marriage with Sa-eon, only plays a minimal role to show others and has no expectations or will for her marriage. Hee-joo, who is living the life of a so-called Show Window couple, one day goes through a terrible situation where she is kidnapped by a mysterious person. Ironically, however, Hee-joo decides to change her life after going through it.

In the stills, Chae Soo-bin shows diverse aspects of Hong Hee-joo, a talented sign language interpreter, the wife of a spokesperson for the presidential office, and the stepdaughter of a media personality. In the stills, Hee-joo is sitting neatly in a news studio of a broadcasting station. Focusing on her work as a sign language interpreter, she looks comfortable and stable.

In another still, Chae Soo-bin provokes her protective instinct with a precarious appearance different from before. She is wearing a luxurious tweed jacket and an elegant black dress, but her expression is not very bright.

In particular, attention is being paid to how Chae Soo-bin will express the emotional line of the real-life version of Hong Hee-joo, a mermaid princess who suffers from apnea and is active as a sign language interpreter.

"When the Phone Rings" will premiere in November.
