Drama Producer Song, Actress Kim to Wed Jan. 3

Song Byung-joon, 49, head of Group Eight, which produced the drama "Boys over Flowers", will tie the knot with TV actress Kim Min-joo, 30, on Jan. 3 in Seoul.

"Song Byung-joon seemed to have been determined to marry Kim after the drama 'Tamra, the Island', ended on MBC TV. Song formally proposed to Kim earlier. They have been busy preparing for the wedding, after deciding on Jan. 3 as the wedding date. He has informed his close aides of the news", said an entertainer close to the couple. "Song has been happy enough to even invite a few of his close friends on his honeymoon trip".

A close aide to Kim said, "Kim has been acting in the drama 'At the Village Over the Mountain', on KBS1. She is coordinating the shooting schedule of the drama around her honeymoon trip in January".

The couple is reported to have met for the first time at a club three years ago and has been dating for one-and-a-half years. Song and Kim teamed up as producer and actress in 'Tamra, the Island', which ended last summer. In the past, they had denied that they were in a relationship. However, they confessed after deciding to get married.
　
Meanwhile, Song transformed himself from a music director to a drama producer in the early 2000s, and has produced a number of hits such as "Sorry, I Love You", a local remake of "Overboard", "Princess Hours", "Boys over Flowers" and "Tamra, the Island".

Kim made her debut on the TV drama "School 2", under her real name, Kim Min-ju, in 1999. She acted under the name Kim Min-joo in "The Moonlight of Seoul", "Tamra, the Island" and other soap operas.

송병준,이승민 1월 3일 결혼

드라마 '꽃보다 남자'의 외주제작사인 그룹에이트의 송병준(49) 대표가 탤런트 이승민(30)과 전격 결혼한다. 두 사람은 내년 1월 3일 서울의 모처에서 조촐히 결혼식을 치를 예정이다.

두 사람을 잘 아는 한 연예관계자는 "드라마 '탐나는도다'가 끝난 뒤 송병준 대표가 이승민과 결혼을 결심한 것 같다. 송대표가 이승민에게 정식으로 프러포즈를 했으며, 길일을 내년 1월 3일로 최근 확정짓고 결혼 준비에 여념이 없다. 결혼 소식은 얼마 전 최측근에게만 전한 상태"라고 밝혔다.

이어 "송 대표가 몇몇 지인들에게 신혼여행을 함께 가자는 제안을 할 만큼 행복해하고 있다. 주위에서도 이미 이승민을 '형수'라고 칭하고 있다. 본인이 연예인이 아닌데 자꾸 열애 기사가 나서 부담스러워하고 있다. 결혼식도 조용하게 치를 것 같다"고 귀띔했다.

이승민의 측근은 "현재 드라마 '산넘어 남촌에는'에 출연하고 있다. 이승민이 내년 1월께 신혼 여행을 위해 드라마 스케줄을 조율 중"이라고 전했다.

두 사람은 3년 전 한 친목 모임에서 만났으며 1년 전부터 진지하게 교제를 해 온 것으로 알려졌다. 올 여름 종영한 MBC 드라마 '탐나는도다'에 제작사 대표와 배우로 함께 호흡을 맞추기도 했다. 수차례 열애설이 터지기도 했으나 두 사람은 이를 부인해왔다. 하지만 최근 결혼을 결심한 이후에는 "교제 사실이 맞다"고 인정하는 모습을 보였다.

한편 송 대표는 음악 감독에서 2000년 초 드라마 제작사 대표로 변신해 '미안하다 사랑한다', '환상의 커플', '궁', '꽃보다 남자', '탐나는 도다' 등 수많은 히트작을 내놓았다. 이승민은 김민주라는 본명으로 1999년 드라마 '학교2'에 출연해 연예계에 데뷔했고, 이후 이승민이라는 이름으로 '비스티 보이즈', '탐나는도다' 등에 출연했다.
