"The Palace is Home to Wildflowers" is based on a popular web novel of the same name. Set in the imperial palace of the fictional nation of Eun, it tells a romance between Consort Gae-ri, renowned for her breathtaking beauty but nicknamed 'dogflower' for her fierce personality, and the cold, calculating Emperor Yeon.
Earlier, Park Eun-bin was reported to be considering the role of Gae-ri, while Kim Jae-won-III has been offered the role of Emperor Yeon.
Meanwhile, Kim Jae-won-III is currently appearing as Sin Soon-rok in "Yumi's Cells - Season 3", where he stars alongside Kim Go-eun. Attention is now focused on whether he will follow up that pairing with another romance, this time with Park Eun-bin.
