ENA's Hit Series "New Recruit" Returns, Starring Kim Min-ho, Kim Dong-jun, and Oh Dae-hwan

ENA's hit drama "New Recruit" is returning with Season 4, led by original cast member Kim Min-ho, alongside Kim Dong-jun and Oh Dae-hwan.

According to an OSEN report on the 28th, production of "New Recruit - Season 4" has been officially confirmed. Multiple industry sources say that Kim Min-ho, who has been part of the series since Season 1, Kim Dong-jun from ZE:A, who made a strong impression in "New Recruit - Season 3", and veteran actor Oh Dae-hwan will all reprise their roles. The new season is scheduled to air on ENA in the second half of the year.

The "New Recruit" series is based on a web animation originally serialized on YouTuber Jangbbijju's personal channel and later adapted into a drama. Set in a military unit where soldiers of all backgrounds gather, the series humorously and wittily depicts the chaos that unfolds as 'New Recruits' with distinct personalities join the ranks, earning a loyal fanbase.

Since premiering its first season in 2022, during ENA's early rebranding phase, the series has continued through Season 3 last year, consistently meeting viewers. With a theatrical spin-off film "New Recruit - The Movie" currently in production, news of Season 4 had long been anticipated.

One of the franchise's biggest strengths has been its casting, often praised as 'stepping straight out of the original'. Season 4 continues this momentum with Kim Min-ho as Park Min-seok, who has been well received since Season 1; Kim Dong-jun as the top-star recruit Jeon Se-gye, introduced in Season 3; and Oh Dae-hwan, beloved for his warm portrayal of Company Commander Jo Baek-ho. Expectations are high for the new stories and even stronger chemistry they will bring this time around.

Direction will once again be handled by Min Jin-gi, regarded as the 'father' of "New Recruit", who has earned acclaim for military-themed series from "Blue Tower" to "New Recruit". Season 4 is to air on ENA later this year.
