Fans Brave Cold to Farewell Boy Band Idols

T.O.P. (Choi Seung-hyun) of boy band Big Bang and JYJ's Kim Junsu entered an army training camp in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province on Thursday to begin their military service.

There was no press event or official farewell to fans, but hundreds of people braved the freezing weather and gathered outside the camp Thursday morning to see off their beloved singers.

Dotted with placards and ad balloons, the site resembled a concert venue.

T.O.P. (Choi Seung-hyun) and Kim will serve as auxiliary officers with the police band for 21 months. Their compulsory military service ends in November 2018.
