Fans Lose Super Junior's Kim Heechul to Military

Kim Heechul of the popular boy band Super Junior began his compulsory military service on Thursday at a boot camp in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province. The formerly long-haired singer looked self-conscious as he unveiled his new buzz cut.

The area was crowded with media and fans from Asia and Europe who had come to say farewell. After four months of basic military training, he will spend another 23 months in the military.
