It has recently imported the rights to the American NBC comedy program "Saturday Night Live". Aiming for the 3rd of December, the Korean 'SNL' will be directed. Director Jang Jin is the main writer for the Korean 'SNL'. tvN stated, "He is the main writer and director who is putting his passion in the scripts and continuity".
'SNL' is a comedy program in America which has been aired since 1975 on NBC. It's a comedy program which operates live in front of the audience and goes through about 10 or so different skits, like KBS2TV "Gag Concert" or SBS "Gag Tonight".
The highlight of 'SNL' is that we can see the hidden comedy talents of singers like Madonna or actors like George Clooney. This program brings on celebrities as guests in different skits. tvN said, "The Korean 'SNL' is also trying to recruit stars for our skits. It's not easy but many have been showing interest".
The Korean 'SNL' will be made up of about 20 or so actors and comedians. It should follow after "Comedy Big League".
