Five Korean movies have been invited to the 30th Toronto International Film Festival to be held in Canada from September 8 until 17.
Presented in the "Special Presentation" division will be "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance" (directed by Park Chan-wook), which has also advanced to the competition division of this year's Venice International Film Festival, and "April Snow" (directed by Hur Jin-ho), which has come into the spotlight because it stars Bae Yong-joon as its lead actor. The new film "Duelist" (directed by Lee Myung-se) has been invited to the "Vision" division of the Toronto Film Festival.
"The President's Last Bang" (directed by Im Sang-soo) and "Sa-Kwa" ("Apple") (directed by Kang Yi-kwan) will be presented in the "Contemporary World Cinema" division and the "Discovery" division, respectively, during the film festival.
