Han Suk-kyu will return with Watcha's original drama "Recipe for Farewell" (directed and written by Lee Ho-jae-I) about two years after the drama SBS "Dr. Romantic 2" aired in January 2020.
"Recipe for Farewell" is a human drama based on an essay of the same name, and it is a story about a husband who challenges to make food for his wife.
In the drama, Han Suk-kyu plays Chang-wook, a translator and humanities instructor. He is a person who hears the unexpected news of his wife, Da-jeong (Kim Seo-hyung), prepares meals for her, and realizes the importance of his family.
The production team said, "Han Suk-kyu practiced cooking himself and cooked all the foods that appeared in the work, raising the drama's completeness to the fullest".
Director Lee Ho-jae-I, who was in charge of directing, said, "After reading the original work, I first thought of Han Suk-kyu. I thought Han Suk-kyu was the only actor who could play this warm but blunt character", he said.
It will be released at 5 PM on the 1st of next month.
