Shin Su-won's 2013 film "Pluto" depicts, in no uncertain terms, the harsh demands young Korean students have to bear in order to succeed. It's an unbridled examination into the individuals at the bottom of Korea's pressure cooker; students who carry the cruel weight of unrealistic expectation from family, friends, and a society that dogmatically persists in narrow rubrics of success and self-worth. It's hard-hitting and fatalistic, but it's an important commentary nonetheless, one that is not only culturally significant, but beautiful realized. Enjoy! [Spoilers]
