[HanCinema's News] Byun Yo-han Wins Best Actor at Seoul Global Movie Awards

On December 5th, Byun Yo-han was honored with Best Actor at the Seoul Global Movie Awards at the Crystal Ballroom at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul. Byun Yo-han earned the prize for his leading role in "Following" from earlier this year, where he plays an affable stalker who gets into an unusual situation regarding the social media influencer he's recently been shadowing. In his acceptance speech, Byun Yo-han mentioned winning a popularity award at this same ceremony in 2015.

Byun Yo-han explicitly thanked writer/director of "Following" as well as his co-stars Shin Hye-sun and Lee El for the work they put in to the project, in addition to all the rest of the staff. He described the times as tough for South Korean film and expressed gratitude for their doing their best to protect it. Byun Yo-han also appeared historical drama series "Uncle Sam-sik" and the mystery thriller "Black Out" this year, and will next star in the film "Pavane" next year.
