[HanCinema's News] Choi Dong-hoon, Kim Tae-ri, and So Ji-sub Test Positive for COVID-19

On July 27th CJ ENM confirmed that director Choi Dong-hoon has tested positive for COVID-19. The news came so as to explain why CJ ENM had to schedule a stage greeting event held that same day. Choi Dong-hoon will for this same reason also not be appearing at the New York Asian Film Festival for "Alienoid" which will run there as the festival's closing film. Further reports from the agencies of Kim Tae-ri and So Ji-sub have confirmed that those actors have also tested positive for the virus.

The other major stars of "Alienoid" are Ryu Jun-yeol and Kim Woo-bin, both of whom have tested negative for COVID-19.In their public statement on the matter, CJ ENM stressed that they appreciate the support of fans coming out to see the movie, but were prioritizing their health over the promise of the preexisting event. "Alienoid" is a science fiction fantasy film that came out this past July 20th, and passed the million viewer mark on July 26th.
