Gold Medalist Entertainment said in their statement that Choi Hyun-wook is recovering, but did not make any statement as to the severity of his symptoms. They also made no statement as to Choi Hyun-wook's vaccination status. On "Twenty Five Twenty One" Choi Hyun-wook plays the second lead, a young man who becomes a baseball player over time. The other two major actors of "Twenty Five Twenty One are Kim Ji-yeon and Nam Joo-hyuk, both of whom have tested negative.

The COVID-19 news adjacent to "Twenty Five Twenty One" has put a halt to filming. It's expected that "Twenty Five Twenty One" will have to skip at least a week's worth of broadcasts. However, at present, the 7th and 8th episodes are still expected to air this Saturday and Sunday.
