According to figures released by the Korean Film Council on September 5th, the disaster film "Concrete Utopia" earned 17,268 admissions on September 4th. "Concrete Utopia" now has 3,629,869 admissions at the South Korean box office since its release on August 9th. "Concrete Utopia" now only needs 370,000 admissions to hit the four million viewer mark. But it faces difficult odds to reach this goal- "Concrete Utopia" only earned 157,711 admissions in its fourth weekend.

"Concrete Utopia" stars Lee Byung-hun, Park Seo-joon, and Park Bo-young among others in a story about an apartment complex navigating a difficult aftermath in the wake of a massive earthquake. Though filmed in 2021, "Concrete Utopia" had a long-delayed release due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "Concrete Utopia" is the third highest performing South Korean film this year after "The Roundup: No Way Out" and "Smugglers" from earlier in the summer.
