Lee Byung-hun (이병헌)

• Lee Byung-hun married actress Lee Min-jung on August 10, 2013, at the Grand Hyatt Seoul. His wife gave birth to their first child in 2015 and to their second child in 2023.
• He is the brother of former Miss Korea Lee Ji-an and a cousin of Sean Richard Dulake.
• He grew up in a wealthy family that consisted of his businessman father (who passed away in 2000), his mother, and one younger sister. He has described himself as a mischievous child while growing up, and after he had to clear some debts following his father's death, he fell into a depression. He then started to suffer panic disorders and found it difficult to attend award ceremonies. He credits his wife with helping him overcome his mental health challenges.
• He is internationally known for portraying 'Storm Shadow' in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) and its sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), and starring alongside Bruce Willis in Red 2 (2013). He also portrayed 'T-1000' in Terminator Genisys (2015) and 'Billy Rocks' in The Magnificent Seven (2016).
• He was the first South Korean actor to present an Oscar at the annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He was also one of the first South Korean actors, alongside Ahn Sung-ki, to imprint his hand and footprints on the forecourt of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
