[HanCinema's News] "Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman" Leads after First Three Days at South Korean Box Office

According to figures released by the Korean Film Council, "Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman" is the current box office leader for South Korea's competitive Chuseok weekend. The horror film added 278,436 admissions on September 29th and stands at a cumulative three day total of 635,311 admissions. These numbers account for approximately half of the overall South Korean box office on September 29th. The film has earned around five million dollars.

"Road to Boston" was second place with 136,444 admissions for a cumulative total of 309,509 admissions. "Cobweb" had 47,797 admissions for a cumulative total of 145,701 admissions. The general ratios of these three films are expected to persist into the proper weekend. The numbers, while decent, are unlikely to be record-setting over the long run. "Dr. Cheon and the Lost Talisman" is being distributed only in theaters in the United States by Well Go USA this coming October 6th.
