[HanCinema's News] "Exhuma" Breaks Eleven Million Viewer Mark
By William Schwartz | Published on
On April 5th, the Korean Film Council released new data showing that the occult horror film "Exhuma" officially passed the eleven million viewer mark on April 4th. With only 34,268 admissions on this data, this will likely be the final million viewer milestone that "Exhuma" will be able to achieve. "Exhuma" had previously passed the ten million viewer mark on April 24th, after thirty-two days of availability since its initial release on February 22nd.

"Exhuma" had been the number one film at the South Korean box office this entire time except for March 27th, when it lost that position to "Troll Factory" in its first day of availability. In the eight days since then, however, "Exhuma" reclaimed its position as the most popular film in South Korean theaters. Despite the release of new films on April 4th, "Exhuma" now seems likely to remain as the number one movie in South Korea until the release of Kung Fu Panda 4 on April 10th.
