The fried chicken specialty restaurant franchise Goobne has come under attention lately for its role in sponsoring the recent television drama "Business Proposal" which featured some product placement. Goobne, which means baked in Korean, specializes in oven roasted chicken, though it is still presented in the fried chicken style. Goobne appeared in "Business Proposal" via the parents of the lead character played by Kim Sejeong, who operates a Goobne franchise restaurant.

The tenth episode of "Business Proposal" even featured brand new menu items from Goobne, the Oven-Baked Basasak as well as the Ready Baked Curry. Basasak is a kind of onomatopoeia in Korean. The product placement has been successful in making Goobne chicken look appealing. Online comments from fans of the drama have had positive appraisals of the food, and confessed to becoming regular customers due to the "Business Proposal" appearance.
These positive impressions are also born out by sales data. Earnings for Goobne have improved over twenty percent compared to this time last year. A representative for the GN Food Corporation, the parent company of Goobne, has stated that they're pleased with the outcome of their investment and have promised to do more such product placement in the future to showcase the quality of their brand. "Business Proposal" ended on April 5th with ratings of 11.4%.
