[HanCinema's News] HiteJinro Announces "Squid Game - Season 2" Tie-in Soju

On December 6th, the South Korean beverage corporation HiteJinro announced that it would be releasing special edition packaging versions of its Chamisul brand of soju to tie in with the release of "Squid Game - Season 2" later this month. The packaging itself is relatively simple, merely featuring an image of the iconic giant doll Young-hee. However, the new packaging is also being accompanied by a marketing campaign featuring Jinro toads wearing outfits from the Netflix series.

HiteJinro is also selling four dolls based on these characters intended to be used in drinking games, the premise being that players must take a shot if the doll looks at them. These products will be available for sale in South Korea starting on December 9th. They have also been confirmed for international release in Australia, Japan, and Mexico on that same day. It is not yet known whether these items will be released in other regions.
